The School of Housing, Building and Planning in USM was established in year 1972. Frankly, i do not know about the history of architecture of HBP in USM. I have try to search through the internet, library, HBP resource centre. But, i cant find any.
From the past until now, USM becomes an APEX university which mean Accelerated Program For Excellence. For the school of HBP, what are the plans that are going to achieve the APEX? What are the products? ya.. in the furture, i believe that we can make it! which mean achieve our university to an APEX university.
i was thinking to upload some infomation about the history of architecture. But it seems boring. coz everything can be found in internet.
Here, just post some infomation about the history of architecture:

Baroque Architecture 1600 to 1830 AD In Italy, the Baroque style is reflected in opulent and dramatic churches with irregular shapes and extravagant ornamentation. In France, the highly ornamented Baroque style combines with Classical restraint. Russian aristorcrats were impressed by Versailles in France, and incorporated Baroque ideas in the building of St. Petersburg. Elements of the elaborate Baroque style are found throughout Europe.
Rococo Architecture 1650 to 1790 AD During the last phase of the Baroque period, builders constructed elegant white buildings with sweeping curves.

Arts and Crafts Movement in Architecture 1860 to 1900 AD Arts and Crafts was a late 19th-century backlash against the forces of industrialization. The Arts and Crafts movement revived an interest in handicrafts and sought a spiritual connection with the surrounding environment, both natural and manmade. The Craftsman Bungalow evolved from the Arts and Crafts movement.
Art Nouveau Architecture 1890 to 1914 AD Known as the New Style, Art Nouveau was first expressed in fabrics and graphic design. The style spread to architecture and furniture in the 1890s. Art Nouveau buildings often have asymmetrical shapes, arches and decorative surfaces with curved, plant-like designs.

Here, i got a question. How true is the history all about? Anyone can prove it? prove that it is 100% correct? Then there is the issue of disinformation comes.
Disinformation is false or inaccurate information that is spread deliberately. It is synonymous with and sometimes called Black propaganda. It may include the distribution of forged documents, manuscripts, and photographs, or propagation of malicious rumors and fabricated intelligence. Disinformation should not be confused with misinformation, information that is unintentionally false.
A lot of things in this world is disinformed. For an example, Hang Tuah is actually a chinese instead of a Malay. Or,
the chinese armada ships already plotted the whole world before Magellan made the first trip around the world. Or,
the japanese involvement in world war 2 fought against racial discrimination because the superpowers of that time were all mat sallehs.
From these, we can know that the truth are hidden from us. But is the Truth is really the TRUTH?
We can only find out the truth by digging it deeper and deeper.
Actually the mass media played a very important role in disinformation. The real mass media are basically trying to divert people.
Another example is the eurocentrism. The Europe country controlling everything. they control our history, our economy and also our psychology. They said, Christopher Columbus discovered America, but actually they were people living in America already. moreover, China discovered that before also. And so did the vikings. Anyway, the European countries just mentioned aobut Christopher Columbus in their history books. They make everyone think that they are great. And we Asians have been brainwashed to think that they are great also like if we think Adidas or Reebok Or Nike is the best brands.
We see only what the others see, the thousands who were here in the past, those who will come in the future. We’re agreed to be part of a collective perception. We are accustomed to use our eyes only with the memory of what other people before us have thought about the object we are looking at. After all, what is reality anyway? Nothing but a collective hunch.
However, there are ways to help in eliminate disinformation:
1.
Keep on asking questions. Ask a lot of questions can come across with a lot more some points or reality which are not convincing. By asking, perhaps we can know more and find out the reality of the history.
2.
Question motives. Twist or amplify any fact which could be taken to imply that the opponent operates out of a hidden personal agenda or other bias. This avoids discussing issues and forces the accuser on the defensive.
3.
Manufacture a new truth. Create our own expert(s), group(s), author(s), and leader or influence existing ones willing to forge new ground via scientific, investigative, or social research or testimony which concludes favourably. With this, perhaps there will be a new truth comes out to prove the existing theory and history.
4.
Ignore proof presented, demand impossible proofs. This is perhaps a variant of the 'play dumb' rule. Regardless of what material may be presented by an opponent in public forums, claim the material irrelevant and demand proof that is impossible for the opponent to come by (it may exist, but not be at his disposal, or it may be something which is known to be safely destroyed or withheld, such as a murder weapon.) In order to completely avoid discussing issues, it may be required that you to categorically deny and be critical of media or books as valid sources, deny that witnesses are acceptable, or even deny that statements made by government or other authorities have any meaning or relevance.
There are many issues raised and appeared from either the lack of information or disinformation.
In my opinion, there is no datum for the truth. And i do not dare to say that wat i had shared with u are the truth. Since, i believe that there is always another reality at the back of a reality. So, we have to ask more, dig mre to find out the real answers!
